1) [Server Manager - LAB-DC01] > Dashboard > File and Storage Services > Storage Pool > Tasks > New Storage Pool > under Storage Pool Name, Name: StoragePool1 > under Physical Disks, select available physical disks > Create .

2) [Server Manager - LAB-DC01] > Dashboard > File and Storage Services > Storage Pool > you'll see: Name: [Windows Storage (1)]  StoragePool1 | Type: Storage Pool | Managed by: LAB-DC01 | Available to: LAB-DC01 | Read-Wrote Server: LAB-DC01 | Capacity: 298GB (i.e. total physical capacity of all harddisks added to storage pool | Free Space: 297GB |

// Create Virtual Disk

3) [Server Manager - LAB-DC01] > Dashboard > File and Storage Services > Storage Pool > click on StoragePool1.

4) [Server Manager - LAB-DC01] > Dashboard > File and Storage Services > Storage Pool > Virtual Disks > New Virtual Disk > under Select the Storage Pool [Storage Pool], select Pool Name: StoragePool1 > under Virtual Disk Name, input Name: vDisk1 >  under Storage Layout, select (x) Simple > Provisioning type: Thin > under Size, Specify size: 25 GB > Create .

// Create New Volume (using vDisk1) - so that new volume can be accessed by  
// K:  (K drive) .

5) [Server Manager - LAB-DC01] > Dashboard > File and Storage Services > Storage Pool > Virtual Disks (Storage Pool1 on LAB-DC01) > right-click on Name: vDisk1 | Layout: Simply | Provisioning: Thin | Capacity: 25.5GBAllocated: 1.50 GB > select New Volume > under Server and Disk, select (Server) Provision to: LAB-DC01 | Status: Online | Cluster Role: Not Clustered | Destination: Local > under Disk, select Virtual Disk: vDisk1 Capacity: 25.5GB | Free Space: 25.4GB | Subsystem: Windows Storage (i.e. choose newly created virtual disk) > under Size, input Volume Size: 10GB (as an example) > under Drive Letter or Folder, Assign to: Drive letter: K (as an example) > under File System Settings, File system: ReFS | Allocation unit size: Default | Volume Label: New Volume > Create .
